If your school operates across more than one campus and the fee schedule varies between them — different tuition, different service charges, different year-level offerings — set up campuses in the Fee Calculator so parents can pick the right one for each child.
If your school is single-campus, or the fees are identical across campuses, skip this article entirely. The campus dropdown is hidden from the calculator when no campuses are configured.
When you need campuses
| Scenario | Set up campuses? |
|---|---|
| One site, one fee schedule | No |
| Two sites, identical fees | No |
| Two sites, different fees per year level | Yes |
| Two sites, same fees but different year levels offered (e.g. Junior School and Senior School) | Yes |
| Distinct fee schedules for different colleges within one school | Yes |
Adding campuses
Go to Fee Calculator → Campuses → Add campus.
Fields:
- Name — what parents see in the campus dropdown. Main Campus, Junior School, Marrickville Campus.
- Fees PDF — optional PDF attached to that campus. Used as the campus-specific fee schedule emailed to parents who request a copy. If left blank, the school-wide summary PDF (from Calculator Settings) is used.
Repeat for each campus.
Linking year-level fees to campuses
Once campuses exist, every year-level fee entry has a Campus field. Add one fee entry per year level per campus:
- Year 7 at Main Campus — one entry.
- Year 7 at Marrickville Campus — separate entry.
If a year level is only offered at one campus, just create the one entry for that campus.
See Setting up year-level fees for the fee entry form.
What parents see
When campuses are configured, the calculator adds a Campus dropdown to each child the parent adds. The parent picks the campus and the year-level dropdown updates to show only year levels offered at that campus.
If a parent has one child at each campus, they pick the campus once per child. Sibling discounts still apply across the whole family regardless of which campus each child is at.
Sibling discounts across campuses
The sibling sort order (most-expensive-first) runs across all children in the family, regardless of campus. A Year 12 at Main Campus and a Year 4 at Junior Campus are sorted by yearly fee, and the discount is applied to the cheaper enrolment as usual.
Switching from single-campus to multi-campus
If your school has been running single-campus and you’re moving to multi-campus:
- Add the campuses.
- Open each existing year-level fee and assign it to the appropriate campus. Existing fees default to no campus, which the calculator treats as universal — once campuses exist, leaving a fee unassigned breaks the calculator’s per-campus lookup.
- Create the additional fee entries for the new campus.
- Update the calculator settings — particularly the Summary PDF — if you’re now sending out a different document per campus.
Test the calculator from a parent perspective after switching to confirm year levels show up under the right campuses.
Switching from multi-campus to single-campus
If you’re consolidating campuses:
- Open each year-level fee and unset the Campus field (or pick the surviving campus).
- Delete the unused campus records.
The calculator hides the campus dropdown once no campuses exist.
